At each Mass celebrated at St Edmund’s the names of deceased and sick parishioners and friends are read out.
The list of the sick has become very lengthy and many names have been on it for six months. The clergy team has decided that from now on names will remain on the list for two weeks only.
If a person wishes a name to remain on the list for longer it will be their responsibility to contact the Office and request an extension.
The names of the deceased will remain on the list for two weeks unless their funeral is to be held at St Edmunds, in which case it will remain on the list until the day of the funeral.
Please DO NOT add names to the list when it is on the lectern.
