Life in the Spirit Seminars have been a great tool for over 40 years helping people to open up their lives more to God and the working of the Holy Spirit, through prayer, talks and sharing groups. For many it has been a transformative experience.
This Eastertide (2 May – 6 June) the Life in the Spirit seminars will be run throughout the diocese in different locations as a collaboration between the Southwark diocesan Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis and the Southwark Catholic Charismatic Renewal team. So, if you have always wanted to give the Life in the Spirit seminars a try, this is your chance!
The main hub will be at St George’s Cathedral where the presentations will be on five Tuesday evenings: 2, 9, 16, 30 May and 6 of June at 8.00 pm – 9.30 pm (with refreshments beforehand). There will be a retreat day for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Saturday (27 May) also at St George’s, led by international lay speaker Michelle Moran. This will be followed by a Pentecost vigil Mass led by Bishop Philip Moger. The presentations will all be streamed and accessible at smaller hubs around the diocese, either on Tuesdays or a suitable local day.
St Edmund’s will be one of the hubs, offering the LSS on Wednesday evenings.
The Life in the Spirit seminars are enjoyable and engaging and are suitable for all ages and levels of faith. So, if you are a daily Mass goer or not quite sure you know what you believe – this is for you! Come and find out for yourself why Pope Francis wants the Life in the Spirit Seminars to be run throughout the Church!
