Today is the Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time – here is Ezekiel, whose calling as a prophet is described (from chapter 2) in our first reading at Mass.
Joseph Gulliford, who was with us for an extended pastoral placement last year, and Allan MacDonald, who was with us for a shorter placement in the summer of 2019, were ordained deacon by Archbishop John yesterday. So far there are photos on the diocesan Twitter account. Please pray for them and others who were ordained.
Fr Steve and one of our parishioners were there. It was also, I imagine, a poignant occasion as the students are leaving the seminary and transferring to Allen Hall in Chelsea. Please pray for the staff of Wonersh at this difficult time and those responsible for taking decisions about the future of the building.
