Here in this diocese Archbishop Wilson is encouraging us to write to our MPs (in this parish, depending on where you live, Bob Stewart or Ellie Reeves) asking them to seek the evidence from the government for the decision to stop public worship. In the month of the Holy Souls some of you are accustomed to gaining the plenary indulgence for the Holy Souls – often this is done by visiting a cemetery and saying prayers. Because of the pandemic special regulations have been published by the Holy See’s Apostolic Penitentiary: click here.
