The feast of the Holy Guardian Angels

In a time of crisis worldwide we ask the angels to protect particularly those suffering from the virus. Traditionally we have often associated this feast with children, nurturing them in the belief that each child has an angel to watch over and protect him or her. At this time children are vulnerable, aware of the dangers in society and some will have lost parents or grandparents in this pandemic. Of course belief in the angels does not absolve us of our responsibilities, and it’s a good day to recall with penitence the ways in which the Church has failed to protect children, or to be a safe place for children.
God bless and take care
