We begin this evening the Second Sunday of Easter, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday, Low Sunday and ‘Dominica in Albis’ (this last because in the early Church the newly baptised laid aside their white robes at the end of the Easter octave), when we always hear the account of Jesus’s encounter with ‘Doubting Thomas’ in John 21. Details of devotions for the end of the Divine Mercy Novena are on the parish website.
St Thomas is thought to have evangelised India and is an important saint there; so we pray for Christians in India and for Christians from India here.
