At 4pm there will be Masses at both St Edmund’s Church and at St Mary’s School. These early Masses are for the young families in our parish, parents with babies, toddlers and primary school children.

ADVENT REFLECTIONS 2024

During Advent the Southwark Spirituality Commission will be sending out daily reflections featuring scripture, thoughts and prayers. You can sign-up to receive them each morning here.

These reflections are a great way to keep your mind focused on the Lord Jesus during the busy Advent season.

ADVENT PRAYER

Lord Jesus,
Master of both the light and the darkness,
send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for
Christmas.
We who have so much to do and seek quiet
spaces to hear your voice each day,
We who are anxious over many things look
forward to your coming among us.
We who are blessed in so many ways long for
the complete joy of your kingdom.
We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of
your presence.
We are your people, walking in darkness, yet
seeking the light.
To you we say, “Come Lord Jesus!’
Amen.

LITTLE BOOKS FOR ADVENT

At the back of the church you will find My Day By Day booklets that guide you through each day of Advent. There are ones for adults and copies for very young children and also for school age children.
