LAST FEW DAYS – BRING IN YOUR BOXES NOW!
Our Christmas shoebox appeal starts again this weekend. Please take one of the leaflets at the back of church and fill a box for us. Blythswood have let us know that this year all the boxes we collect will be distributed to people in Kosovo.
There is more information about this year’s appeal and videos of last year’s boxes being distributed on Blythswood’s website: https://blythswood.org/shoeboxappeal/.
Please consider sharing information about the shoebox collection with family, friends and social media groups so that we can collect as many boxes as possible to bring Christmas joy to those in great need this year.
It’s easy to choose gifts for people who have so little. Shampoo, a pair of socks, a notepad, a small toy, a bag of sweets – things we take for granted will seem like luxuries to people
living in poverty. By filling a shoebox with simple things you can bring hope this Christmas.
Please bring your filled boxes to the Parish Office – boxes can be dropped at the office until the end of October.
If you have any questions then do get in touch with us – Lucienne Vella 07884 184534 or Susie Watchorn 07956 574789.
Thank you so much for your generosity every year with the shoebox appeal. We love organising the appeal and so many of you tell us how much you enjoy selecting items to fill the boxes.
