Recently, there have been several incidents which have posed a threat to the safety and security of our parish.
As a result of this, at a meeting of clergy and members of the parish staff, a discussion was held on the issues that we faced and how best we can resolve them.
As these measures are put in place in the coming weeks, can I ask you to play your part by being vigilant when you are on parish property, especially while in the church, and to take special care of your own personal belongings.
We will continue to strive to be a hospitable parish where all are made welcome but at the same time be fully aware that the motives of some people who enter our church will be less than honourable.
Please be assured that we will do all we can to make St Edmund’s a safe environment.
