Good Friday – for me the Isenheim triptych is one of the most powerful and harrowing depictions of the Lord’s death (a powerful paper was written some years ago by Professor Tina Beattie). All our services are detailed on the parish website and all the services from church are live-streamed. Celebrations from our cathedral led by the Archbishop of Southwark can be accessed via www.rcsouthwark.org.uk and those led by the Holy Father and others in Rome through Youtube.
Sadly this year again there is no ecumenical Walk of Witness.
Today is a day of fasting and abstinence.
