Since March you will be aware that we have not been able to have any basket collections in the church during Mass. The parish income has fallen significantly because of this but the many causes which rely on parishes to support their work have lost most of their income. We have tried to highlight some of these charities by items in the newsletter and thank you for responding to them.
There are a few collections each year which are papal or diocesan collections and we have now been given the dates on which they are to be taken:
- 8 November – Priest Training Fund
- 22 November – Catholic Youth Service/Catholic Education Service
- 29 November Holy Places
- 13 December – Peters Pence
- 20 December – Apostleship of the Sea
