Some of you will remember that our younger daughter Iris was diagnosed with Leukaemia in July 2017. It was a great shock at the time and the first few weeks were challenging, but she’s done very well and the treatment ends officially today. Our thanks to God for his goodness in this time and to Our Lady and the saints for their prayers. We also pay tribute to our wonderful National Health Service, so vulnerable at this time – here are shown the three hospitals who cared for Iris – St George’s Tooting (in the early weeks), Kings College Hospital (Toni and Guy ward) and the Royal Marsden in Sutton.
My thanks to you for your support and prayers in this time – many of you all over the world. We have also had tremendous support from friends and parishioners in Beckenham, from the staff at Coloma Convent Girls School, from the Southern Dioceses’ diaconate programme, St Mary’s University and the Catholic Theological Association.
Please remember others suffering from cancer, especially those anxious about the availability of medicines after the end of this month.
