Happy New Year! January is a time both to look back and to look forward, to reflect on what went well in 2023 and what didn’t, and to anticipate the potential of a new year and the good things that it will bring. Many of us make resolutions for the new year; for instance, I have set out to read the Bible in a year – by listening to Fr Mike Schmitz’s podcast. This moment is an opportunity to renew our relationship with our Father, to be closer to Him, to offer the best of ourselves to God who is with us. This is a new chapter for our parish as we say thank you and goodbye to Fr Ashley and pray for his ministry in West Wickham. This community is only as strong as you: your commitment makes everything possible. We thank you for the gifts of time, talent and money that you give to St Edmund’s. At the same time, we pray that your generosity will increase so that we can all continue to grow together as disciples of Christ.
The clergy team pray that your lives will be truly blessed in this new year and that you will feel the presence of God beside you.
