{"id":8361,"date":"2021-12-03T17:30:33","date_gmt":"2021-12-03T17:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saintedmunds.net\/?p=8361"},"modified":"2021-12-03T17:30:33","modified_gmt":"2021-12-03T17:30:33","slug":"no-heating-in-church-wrap-up-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saintedmunds.net\/index.php\/2021\/12\/03\/no-heating-in-church-wrap-up-well\/","title":{"rendered":"No Heating in Church &#8211; Wrap up Well"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We have been carefully tending our church boiler, trying to get more years of service out of it, but unfortunately, we have been caught out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The engineer who came to look at it on Thursday said he could not allow us to light it again.\u00a0 We are therefore without heating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The electrical system in the church is not able to support industrial heaters.\u00a0\u00a0 We have therefore moved some temporary domestic heaters into the church but they will not be able adequately to heat the building.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We have arranged visits from companies used to installing heating into churches and when their quotations are in we will instruct one of them to proceed at the earliest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There is no expectation that any work will be carried out before the new year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The church is very cold, so if you come to Mass, you must dress appropriately.\u00a0 We understand that for some of you the cold will be too much to cope with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Please try not to keep asking when the problem will be resolved.\u00a0 We do not know, but you have my word that resolving it is my top priority.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em><strong>Fr Steve<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have been carefully tending our church boiler, trying to get more years of service out of it, but unfortunately, we have been caught out.
