Initial indications are that we had a\u00a0positive reaction. We will provide a fuller update at the\u00a0end of July when we have analysed the impact on our\u00a0income.\u00a0If you were thinking of getting involved but have not got\u00a0around to it yet then why not take the time to sign up this\u00a0weekend.\u00a0If you are a parishioner and you already use ChurchSuite\u00a0then you can make and manage your donations via the website or App. However, if you are not registered for ChurchSuite and would like to register then go\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/saintedmunds.net\/index.php\/new-parishioners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>One-off donations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>St Edmund\u2019s runs a number of fundraisers for specific causes. You can make a one-off donation to these appeals, paying by credit or debit card. Regular bequests transform our finances and allow us to invest in the church infrastructure and facilities. For example if you are a standard rate tax payer and donate \u00a31 then St Edmund\u2019s would receive a further 25p from HMRC. It does not cost you any more\u00a0but you do have to be a UK taxpayer and must have\u00a0signed a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/saintedmunds.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/GAD-Beckenham-BM-Oct-2017.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GiftAid declaration<\/a>. With our online giving we make this process as convenient as possible and you just have to tick\u00a0the box on the donate page.<\/p>\n<p>If you pay tax at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/income-tax-rates\/income-tax-rates\">higher or additional rate<\/a>, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation.
