On Good Friday<\/strong> we need a couple of volunteers to guide\u00a0the walkers and help direct the traffic during \"\"the Churches Together in Beckenham (CTiB) Walk of Witness<\/strong> service, which starts at St. Edmund’s at 11am and proceeds to St. George’s Green. There will be a\u00a0stewards’ briefing at 10.40am outside St Edmund’s. If you\u00a0can help, either with stewarding or by handing out service\u00a0leaflets at St Edmund’s please contact Angela Dowling \u00a0by calling or texting 07725860734.<\/em><\/p>\n

Maundy Thursday – March 29 at 8pm
\nGood Friday – March 30 at 3pm
\nEaster Vigil – Saturday March 31 at 8pm<\/p>\n

Holy Saturday blessing of Easter Food<\/strong>\u00a0(31 March) We would like to encourage \"\"parishioners from\u00a0Central and Eastern Europe to come with their families and\u00a0of course all parishioners of whatever nationality are warmly\u00a0welcomed too. Bring a basket (traditionally containing lamb, which of course signifies Jesus, the Lamb of God, boiled\u00a0eggs, dyed and plain, Pascha (a special Easter bread), and\u00a0other foods which you intend to eat on Easter Sunday). Of\u00a0course you don\u2019t need to bring all this but it would be great if\u00a0children could bring decorated eggs. All the baskets are\u00a0processed to the sanctuary and blessed.\u00a0Contact Agata on 07783316010 or boguniaagata@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0for more information.<\/em><\/p>\n
