There are a number of ways in which you can support the work we do at St Edmund’s.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weekly donations<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

You may use online giving to donate to St Edmund’s by Direct Debit and credit\/debit card. We struggle with cash collections because we receive so many coins and these have to be counted every week and then taken to the bank. Our aim is to replace as much of our\u00a0 weekly cash collections with electronic payments which makes it more convenient for you. If you are paying electronically then, of course, there is no need to make a contribution to the collections at our masses, and please do not feel embarrassed not to be seen to be making a donation.<\/span><\/p>\n

One-off donations<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

St Edmund’s runs a number of fundraisers for specific causes. You can make a one-off donation to these appeals by credit or debit card. Specify the amount in the form when you click on the Donate button <\/strong>below.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make a pledge or bequest to St Edmund’s<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

If you would like to make a bequest or a large gift to St Edmund’s we will ensure your donation will be put to good use in the parish. Regular bequests transform our finances and allow us to invest in the church infrastructure and facilities. GiftAid<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

If you are a UK taxpayer then we\u00a0can reclaim on tax you pay for any donation you make. For example if you are a standard rate tax payer and donate \u00a31 then St Edmund’s would receive a further 25p from HMRC. It does not cost you any more\u00a0but you do have to be a UK taxpayer and must have\u00a0signed a\u00a0GiftAid declaration<\/a>. With our online giving we make this process as convenient as possible and you just have to tick\u00a0the box on the donate page.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you pay tax at the higher or additional rate<\/a>, you can claim the difference between the rate you pay and basic rate on your donation. You can do this either:<\/span><\/p>\n
