St Edmund\u2019s Church <\/b>Parish Groups and Activities…<\/b>and who to contact if you want to get involved<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

We have many active groups at St Edmund\u2019s, catering for all ages, tastes and interests, including a number of church choirs. We are always looking for volunteers to help with cleaning, after-mass teas and coffees and with many of the parish groups. If you would like to volunteer please get in touch.<\/span><\/p>\n

LITURGY<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Readers at Mass<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

If you would like\u00a0to\u00a0read at Mass,\u00a0please\u00a0contact the Office who will put you in touch with\u00a0the person who\u00a0draws up the rota\u00a0for the Mass you attend.\u00a0\u00a0There is training and guidance\u00a0available.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Altar Servers<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

If your child wishes to start serving,\u00a0please go with them\u00a0to the\u00a0\u00a0sacristy\u00a0at the end of Mass\u00a0to speak to the MC.\u00a0 Anyone, girl or boy,\u00a0\u00a0who has made their first holy communion can serve. \u00a0Clergy contact is Fr. Andrew<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have three\u00a0music groups\u00a0which\u00a0provide music\u00a0at the\u00a0\u00a09.30, 11.00 and 5.30 Masses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Knights are a laymen’s organisation focused on\u202fsupporting the Church and clergy, promoting the spiritual and material welfare of its members and their families, and engaging in charitable works within their communities.\u202f They do this through parish-based activities like fundraising, assisting with Church events, supporting youth, and promoting Catholic social teachings, while also advocating for the dignity of life and helping the underprivileged.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
