As parish priest of St Edmund’s, it gives me great joy to welcome you the Roman Catholic Church of St Edmund of Canterbury, Beckenham. St Edmund’s is a warm and welcoming community of faith, where the parish community is a mix of all ages, races and cultures. He studied for the priesthood at the Beda College in Rome and he was ordained at St Paul\u2019s in Dover in February 2023. He worked in the Dover parish from 2018 to 2024, working in various roles including Pastoral Assistant, Deacon and Assistant Priest. Before being appointed as Parish Priest here, he took a sabbatical ending in North Wales where he completed a thirty day silent retreat at St. Beino’s Ignatian Spirituality Centre. Deacon Se\u00e1n Murphy Deacon Se\u00e1n ordained into the Permanent Diaconate in 2006, following a career in the Civil Service. He has particular responsibilities at St. Edmund\u2019s in respect of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and to the Parish SVP. Deacon Se\u00e1n manages the Baptism programme.
